Below is a summary of all of Corte Certo’s implementations. To find out which version of Corte Certo you have, click on the Help button and then on About Corte Certo. Then simply check what done to the versions previous to yours.

Corte Certo DOS

The program’s first generation, which was compatible with MS-DOS. Very successful in the glass sector, (industry, distributors and glass producers) it showed itself to be the first truly useful and working programs for use with computers available at that time, (PC XT/AT).

 

Corte Certo 98
Second generation of the software made for the Windows operating system (Windows 95).

§    Faster, more powerful and easier to use than the previous version.

 

§    Faster and better quality cut map printouts.

 

§    More efficient use of material.

 

§    New functions.

 

§    Could be used with other material besides glass, (ACM, wood, polycarbonate, etc).

 

§    Manual cut map editor for small adjustments to piece positions or any necessary cuts.

 

 

Corte Certo 2000

§    New functions and calculation improvements at the request of new clients to better serve the Latin American market.

§    More complete reports.

§    Interchangeability with non-Corte Certo software for the calculation of metallic frames.

 

 

Corte Certo 2001 - Version 1.0

New functions and calculation improvements at the request of new clients to better serve the European market.

 

DATA ENTRY, (MANUAL ENTRY OF DATA ABOUT PIECES AND PLATES TO BE CUT). New functions that speed up the entry of new project data available.

 

§    Indicator to show line and cell currently being edited.

§    New, easier-to-use, material selection buttons and description, (project table).

§    Colored separation lines to make tables clearer.

§    “Express” cell copying: clicking on an empty cell after clicking on one that contains data will immediately copy its content.

§    Shows order description at the top of the order spreadsheet window.

§    Field description at the bottom of each field, ideal for beginners.

GRAPHIC VISUALIZATION OF CUT MAPS

§    Shows description of material at the top of the visualization window as well as in the “last calculations” report.

§    Option to only visualize either cut pieces or leftovers and fragments on the screen.

§    Improved layout for the visualization window (better appearance)

§    Brightness adjustment for on-screen visualization of pieces.

§    Smaller main buttons to make the visualization window bigger.

§    Option to divide one leftover piece into two.

§    Automatic leftover piece joining now optional.
LABEL PRINTING

§    Configurable color printing, with low ink consumption.
 

§    Easier visualization for cutter, minimizing errors and accelerating the cut process.

§    Improvement in the label configuration screen (easier configuration and adjustments).

CALCULATION

§    Improvement in calculation efficiency, mainly when varied plate sizes are enabled.

§    New function to select cut complexity: Complex, Normal and Easy.

§    New option for configuring the use of plates according to their dimensions: Free, Increasing or Decreasing. e.

§    Higher limit for pieces to be positioned, (from 500 to 600)

§    Calculation time prediction - useful for long calculations.

§    New option for end of calculation sound warnings – useful for long calculations.

§    New option for maximum calculation time adjustment.

§    New button to “shorten” calculation time.

Corte Certo 2001 - Version 1.9

§    New languages: Dutch and Spanish specifically for Spain.

§    Visual improvements for better user-interface.

§    More fields for project identification.

§    PCI: Option developed for manufacturers and users of printed circuits (PCI) who use strip systems: groups of PC sections that are cut from single plates in order to make printing circuits with silk-screens easier. Note: Option only available in Portuguese language mode.

 

 

Corte Certo 2001 - Versions 2.0 a 2.03

 

§    New authorization system. Greater protection against illegal copying and, consequently, greater guarantee competitiveness to companies that invested in Corte Certo license agreements.

§    Calculation option for not considering the number of registered plates (calculates as if the number were infinite.)

§    Project import through a network from other computers on which Corte Certo is also installed. Makes it easier for project sharing when clients have more than one copy of Corte Certo.

§    Project import (CSV, TXT or clipboard files). Eliminates the need to re-enter data when the client has already entered it in another program (sizes and amount of pieces to be cut).

§    Data export to CSV files (text files where data is separated by commas). Exports total number of required plates to a given project so that other programs (Excel, Word, etc) may use them  (i.e. budget programs).

§    Project integration. Allows for new projects to be started from one or more already registered projects.

§    New "Summarized Report" which shows the main values (amounts and efficiency) of the last calculation and may be exported directly to Microsoft Word or other text editors.

§    Special perimeter. This function allows the perimeter of pieces to be calculated based on selected sides (instead of all four sides as is usually done). A sample project (code 50013, that comes with the system) uses this function.

 

 

Version 2.04:

§    After starting a new project it is added to the project list to make it easier to find by the user.

Version 2.05:

§    Number of selectable projects for a single calculation increased to 60 (it was 10 or 30 in previous versions).

§    Project import from external systems with freely selectable project code (it used to be 30,000).

§    After importing a project or integrating others to start a new one, it is added to the project list to make it easier to find by the user.

 

 

Versions 2.06 e 2.07:

§    Internal improvements.

 

 

Version 2.08:

§    Improved copy protection system (prevents against rare cases of loss authorization and guarantees competitiveness to clients who purchased Corte Certo).

§    Material report now also presents the total areas of leftovers and pieces for the selected material.

§    Maximum number of stored orders now increased form 990 to 2000 projects.

§     Maximum number of materials registered now increased from 300 to 500.

 

 

Version 2.09:

§     Internal improvements.

 

 

Version 2.10:

§    Project label printing correction (decimal place / material description)

§    Printer configuration button (paper size, etc.) in the ‘label printing’ window

 

 

Version 2.11:

§    Option for printing, or not, a layout identification label

§    Adjustments to calculation visualization for two or more projects that use the same material with the same codes but with different dimensions

 

 

Version 2.13:

Versions 2.14 e 2.15:

§    Plate and fragment limit for inclusion into a single calculation increased form 3000 to 500.

§    Stock control (records of plates and fragments already used plus registration of newly created fragments).

§    New button on the fragment table for erasing all lines.

 

 

Version 2.16:

§    Stock control: option for erasing fragments with quantity set to zero.

§    Plates and fragments whose quantities are set to zero are automatically disabled.

 

 

Version 2.17:

§    Sample materials do not appear in the piece editing option when they are not selected to do so.

§    New range of materials for double materials (for the future).

 

Version 2.18: 

§    Materials whose layouts have not yet been visualized after a calculation are marked with an asterisk (‘*’) in the visualization window.

§    Stock updates are only allowed for material that has already been visualized, therefore enabling the user to check layouts visually and make any necessary changes before registration.

 

 

Version 2.19:

§    Fragment description is generated upon visualization in the MAT M, L x H format where M=material, L e H = Length and Height.

 

Versions 2.20 e 2.21:

§    Adjustments to label printing for fragments.

§    Label dimensions may be entered using decimal points.

 

Version 2.22:

§    Preparation for double material:
      - From 40000 to 49999
      - Appears in the material list in blue
      - Changes appear in the properties window (not in data)

 

 

Versions 2.23 e 2.24:

§    Installed into the CORTE_CERTO folder (or CORTE2001 if already present)

§    Places a shortcut icon into the programs group

§    Expansion of certain internal limits

§    Correction to the mistake that did not give any warning when there were not enough pieces or when two or more materials were used in a single project

 

Version 2.25:

§    Shortcut to website along with the Corte Certo program in the program group

§    Stock control translated into Spanish, English and Dutch.

§    Option in project mix for only using enabled pieces.

 

 

Versions 2.31 e 2.32:

§    New: Multiple materials

§    New: Uninstall with icon in the program group.

 

Version 2.43:
