HOW CORTE CERTO WORKS

Corte Certo was designed with the first-time user in mind, as well as the new operators who will come to substitute him later on.

No training is therefore required, and money is saved.

Operation starts with the large buttons at the top of the main window, which are visible at all times. Of these buttons, the four first ones are the most important.

The first one, PROJECTS, should be clicked on so that the pieces you wish to cut may be specified in terms of their dimensions and numbers.

The second one, RESOURCES, will display the spreadsheets for registering the plates available for the cut and the characteristics of  fragments (minimum sizes for future use)

This is also where cut and material characteristics will be defined, (in the “properties” window). The illustrations help make everything very clear. The folders, selectable at the top of the window, allow for registration of the commercial characteristics to be taken into account in calculations.

The third button, CALCULATION, allows for a variety of configurations – including tests for best possible dimensions of plates to be purchased, as shown in the figure below.

After a calculation is performed, its efficiency can be tested through use of the “What happens if…” button to make changes to the previously entered characteristics, (for example, by allowing the program to rotate plates or not taking into account the number of available plates).

Finally, the fourth button, VISUALIZE, displays the cut maps, which may be analyzed individually or in groups. To do so, one may use any of Corte Certo’s many available visualization or editing tools to make manual changes to the cut maps, including insertion or removal of pieces.

The REPORT and LABEL buttons are self-explanatory, and have several editing options. The CONFIGURE button offers general configuration options such as language choices, currency to be used, etc.

If, even so, a beginner user should experiment any difficulty, the HELP button offers an Operation Example, as well as an Operation Guide, where subjects can be easily found and looked at by clicking on the list on the left, (see picture).

CORTE CERTO VOCABULARY

Plate: the sheet of raw material from which the pieces will be cut.

Piece: the section that has been ordered and will be cut from the plate, such as a tabletop or window.

Fragment: pieces that are left over and whose dimensions may make their use in future cuts feasible. Corte Certo allows for the available fragments to be included into calculations with just a click.

Remnant pieces: the leftover pieces whose dimensions make them impossible to use
in the future.
